Planning Board approves detoxification facility conversion on Manheim Avenue

NJ BRIDGETON — Bridgeton Planning Board approves conversion of Manheim Avenue medical office into detox center. J&T Management Group, LLC, led by founder Robert Salmons, received approval to convert 105 Manheim Avenue into a 54 to 56-bed in-patient facility with anticipated opening in early 2027. The secured residential treatment center will prohibit visitors, personal vehicles, and cell phones while providing 24-hour supervision and three daily catered meals.
Board member Markida Taylor raised security concerns, and Salmons assured that patients attempting to leave would be escorted off-property by staff. The board voted 8-0 to approve, with Chair Rick Dawson abstaining.
